1. Who Runs This Site

catclarkbooks.com is the author site for Cat Clark. It is operated by unLit Publishing LLC, a Michigan limited liability company, at 3721 W Michigan Ave, Suite 100, PMB 178, Lansing, MI 48917, United States.

2. This Site Takes No Payments

There is no shop, no checkout and no payment form on catclarkbooks.com. We never see or store card numbers, bank details or billing addresses from this site. Purchase links send you to a retailer or to unLit Publishing, and any payment happens there under that company's own policies.

3. What We Collect

• Information you give us: your name, email address and anything you choose to write when you email one of the addresses on this site.
• Technical information: standard web server logs kept by our host, including IP address, browser type, referring page and the pages requested.
• Analytics: aggregate, non-identifying measurement of page views and traffic sources, so we know which pages are worth keeping.

4. How We Use It

To answer your email, to send the newsletter if you asked for it, to keep the site secure and working, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share your email address with other authors, publishers or advertisers.

6. Who Processes Data For Us

We use a web host to serve this site, an analytics provider to count traffic, and an email newsletter platform. They receive only what they need to do that work and may not use it for their own purposes.

7. The Newsletter

The newsletter is hosted on Substack and is governed by Substack's own privacy policy once you subscribe there. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected] and we will remove you.

8. Cookies

This site's own pages do not set advertising or retargeting cookies. Analytics may set a first-party cookie to count a return visit. Links out to Substack, Amazon and other sites are governed by those sites' policies, not this one.

Site measurement. We also run our own measurement tool, SitePulse, on our own server, to learn how pages get used and where they break: which pages are viewed, where people click and how far they scroll, page speed and errors. On some visits it records a replay of the page so we can spot confusing parts. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and never captures what you type into a form, because every field is masked in your browser before anything is sent. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, it records nothing. We do not sell or share this data, and we use it only to improve this site.

9. How Long We Keep Things

Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful to answer you and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs rotate on our host's schedule.

10. Your Rights

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

11. Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

12. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
